Briefly describe your symptoms and the medical condition that brought you to see the doctor.

I was in the Army in 1993 and tore my ACL during a training accident.

What one or two things stand out to you about your experience with your doctor and their team?

Dr Warme laid out my options in layman's terms. Because of his lifestyle of rigorous physical activity he could better convey the pros and cons to my options of having surgery or not. He let ME decide what path was better for my lifestyle. I chose surgery. He emphasized the importance of physical therapy and illustrated what could happen if I didn't follow through. I did exactly what Dr Warme advised and I recuperated in no time. In fact I've been an avid runner over the years and just completed a full marathon this year. Dr Warme tells it like it is, yet is compassionate and truly cares.

Briefly describe your symptoms and the medical condition that brought you to see the doctor.

Had knee replacement in 2012 went well for a year and a half. Then started having trouble and my Dr. could not find a problem. After a mri and more xrays and still no results, my Dr. referred me to the UW Medicine. There after just looking at the xrays , the Dr. saw that the replacement was coming loose.

What one or two things stand out to you about your experience with your doctor and their team?

How they were concerned about your problem, not just the Dr. but also his physician assistant (in my case Nathan Summers)They explained the xray to me so I could see the problem. And they explained to my wife and I what they were going to do to fix my knee.

Briefly describe your symptoms and the medical condition that brought you to see the doctor.

I suspected a partial tear of my rotator cuff due to a mild ache especially during sleeping. While playing tennis and an energetic serve I actually tore the rotator cuff on my non dominant shoulder.
I'm a 60 year old male, very active athletically and want to continue being competitive in tennis. Having had numerous orthopedic repairs of both knees and my dominant shoulder, I wanted to find a surgeon interested in keeping me athletically active. I was looking for a sports medicine surgeon that wouldn't just tell me to stop playing and avoid strenuous athletics. What I found was Dr. Winston Warme with numerous testimonials from physically active individuals of all ages. His background of a retired military physician also intrigued me as did his education. My research paid off, I couldn't be more happy.

What one or two things stand out to you about your experience with your doctor and their team?

Dr. Warme and his PA Carlos from my first visit to my 12 week post operative followup have been sincerely interested in getting me back to the physical condition and competitive player that I want to continue being.
I was completely surprised how quickly I was able to get and appointment and subsequently surgery scheduled.
Another surprise was day three post operative, receiving a phone call from Dr. Warme inquiring as to how I was doing and giving me guidance on my medications. I wouldn't have expected this from the physician, maybe the PA.
Each visit I have truly felt Dr. Warme cares about my recovery, my desires to continue competitive tennis and me personally, engaging in conversation medically and my personal life and career.

Briefly describe your symptoms and the medical condition that brought you to see the doctor.

I was suffering from very significant sciatica pain that radiated from my lower back all the way to the toe. The MRI showed a small synovial cyst that was pressing against the nerve in the L4 - L5 region.

What one or two things stand out to you about your experience with your doctor and their team?

I was very pleased with my experience with Dr. Verma. He is very knowledgeable and patient. Before I underwent the surgery, he was very willing to try all conservative options prior to the surgery. I never felt rushed and felt that I had plenty of time to explain my issues. He answered all of my questions patiently and professionally making certain I understood all the risks and rewards of the surgery.

Doctor: Dr. Kushagra Verma

Briefly describe your symptoms and the medical condition that brought you to see the doctor.

Severe Acute back pain, sciatica, incontinence.

What one or two things stand out to you about your experience with your doctor and their team?

We were struck by the professionalism and the compassion of Dr. Verma. Even though my mother-in-law had language barriers as she hardly spoke any english, it was personal for Dr. Verma to make sure that she understood what was causing her back pain and the treatment options. Dr. Verma was always compassionately patient with her, and his calm demeanor gave my mother-in-law a lot of confidence and faith that she will be fine with the surgery. Surgery was the last thing she wanted and before meeting Dr. Verma, she dreaded the idea of having a second surgery on her back. Her fears were all put to rest when she met Dr. Verma. Even after the surgery, Dr. Verma was as involved in the care for my mother-in-law and practically became like a family member who passionately cared for her full and quick recovery.

Briefly describe your symptoms and the medical condition that brought you to see the doctor.

I am a 52 yr old female, living with Rheumatoid arthritis & Fibromyalgia since age 35 & I live in Boise, ID. In June of 2010 I tore up my left shoulder beyond fixing after trying to get a 1/2 gallon of milk out of fridge. My right shoulder already was a non-moving body part due to 4 Labral and Cuff tear surgeries. So my doc here went on a search for someone to perform the "REVERSE ROTATOR CUFF REPLACEMENT" in my left shoulder at age 50, a surgery not recommended till one is over 60. After going to U of U then almost every shoulder doc here and 1 other doc in Seattle no one said yes. Then on Oct. 8, 2010 I flew up and saw Dr. Warme. After seeing Alex, his PA then, and the doc, within 30 minutes we were setting up a surgery date.

What one or two things stand out to you about your experience with your doctor and their team?

There is ONE thing that stands out mostly about the doc and team is THEY ARE AWESOME!!! Nurse Steve is and will always be one of the top of the line RN's on earth. Every single person from Pre-op to the OR to Post-op to In-patient were the best!!!! Only flaw worthy of saying is there was NO Dr. Pepper anywhere to be found then the good doc brought me some!!!!
