Briefly describe your symptoms and the medical condition that brought you to see the doctor.

I had pain in my shoulder, which started rock climbing and got worse over time.

What one or two things stand out to you about your experience with your doctor and their team?

Throughout the entire process, I felt extremely well taken care of. I had a ton of questions, some of which I'm sure I asked more than once, and every time, Dr. Warme and his team gave me all the time I needed to become comfortable with the diagnosis, procedure and prognosis. The team also took the time to get to know me and what I am typically demanding of my shoulders, and from that base of knowing me quite well, they were able to make the best recommendations for the best approach to surgery and recovery.

They gave me a lot of confidence things would be done well and with care, and they were.

What can you do now that you could not do before surgery? Have you been able to return to your hobbies or sports at the same level as pre-injury or at an even higher level?

I had to stop climbing because of my injury. Post surgery, I have been able to return to climbing mostly unrestricted and my shoulder has never felt better.

What advice would you like to share with a patient with a condition such as yours who is considering surgery?

Ask a lot of questions, stay involved in the process, definitely go with Dr Warme, you will be in very good hands.

Please share any additional comments!

It was clear that everyone I worked with cared a lot about me, my injury and my pathways to recovery. I cannot say enough good things about my entire experience. I have had to see other doctors for other injuries and by comparison Dr. Warme and his team are heads above the rest.
