Briefly describe your symptoms and the medical condition that brought you to see the doctor.
I had been in a car accident 6+ years prior and a MD in Spokane finally identified the problem - no surgeon in this area would even look at it. He referred me to Dr. Warme. My medial clavicle would float out towards my throat and override the sternum causing constant headaches and pain.
What one or two things stand out to you about your experience with your doctor and their team?
I saw the PA first and she did a thorough review and then I saw Dr. Warme. He was the fourth surgical person I saw and he 1) knew what the problem was and 2) knew it was difficult to impossible to live with due to decreased function and daily pain.
What can you do now that you could not do before surgery? Have you been able to return to your hobbies or sports at the same level as pre-injury or at an even higher level?
Not having a constant headache has been fabulous. I can open doors. I can pull my own suitcase. I can do more gardening. There are still some limitations but that is most likely due to my rotator cuff.
What advice would you like to share with a patient with a condition such as yours who is considering surgery?
It does take 10-12 weeks to recover. You can return to work and lift and reach. The pain is gone from that injury.

I haven't tried golf yet. It is something I absolutely could not do prior.
